The Jabberwock initiative, a hallmark cultural enrichment journey pioneered by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, has been inspiring and shaping young women across the United States since 1925 through its various Delta Chapters. This esteemed program is designed to prepare young ladies for their transition to college life, fostering personal growth, building new relationships, and offering enriching experiences alongside a chance to compete for scholarships. The Greenwood Alumnae Chapter proudly presents its own version of the Jabberwock experience, which encompasses:
- Cultural Enrichment Activities to broaden horizons and deepen appreciation for diverse cultures.
- Community Service Projects that instill a sense of civic responsibility and the joy of giving back.
- Fundraising Initiatives to support the program and its scholarship fund.
- Talent Presentation, allowing participants to showcase their unique abilities.
- The Culminating Jabberwock Pageant, a celebration of achievement and community spirit.
To be eligible to participate, candidates must be high school seniors (12th grade) with a commendable academic record, a passion for community service, and aspirations to continue their education at the collegiate level upon graduation.
This program is a wonderful opportunity for young women committed to personal development and community engagement.
